Why? Great photography needs to be seen – regardless of who creates it. The 2008 LAAPC Photography Exhibit is designed to showcase the best in contemporary images produced by emerging, serious amateurs (not yet professionals). More importantly, it’s also a chance to celebrate photography with friends and family in a fun, comfortable setting with good food and drink.

When? The exhibition will feature an opening reception on JANUARY 12, 2008. Images will be displayed on the walls in, and around the main dining area for one month, and will be available for sale (100% of proceeds to the artist). The exhibition will be heavily promoted with postcard invitations and local newspaper announcements.

How to Participate?
The LAAPC is looking for one thing only: contemporary, compelling images. Individuals may submit UP TO THREE (3) images for consideration. Submission is FREE, but each worked accepted for the exhibition is $20 to help cover costs including promotion (plus, individuals are responsible for preparing their own images for display – detailed requirements will be sent to those participating). This is your chance to get your photography noticed, and be part of an exciting exhibition! To submit your up to three (3) images (each <1MB), send via email to jseltzer@jasmr.com
